In addition to the Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Fire Protection Services, the HFPD also conducts inspections of businesses and new construction.  The department handles all levels of emergencies ranging from extrication, farm rescue, high level rescue, low-grade rescue, water rescue and Haz-Mat.
